Ninaivu (நினைவு, "memory" in Tamil) keeps your family's policy numbers, IDs, health details and due dates in one private, encrypted vault. Just ask in plain words, and get the answer in seconds. On Windows and in your browser today; Android app coming soon on Google Play.
The insurance agent asks for your policy number, and it is buried in an old email or a drawer. With Ninaivu, you type "policy number" and read it out.
Car insurance, passport, electricity bill. A forgotten date costs money and stress.
The doctor or insurer asks for your last BP or sugar reading, and you can't recall it.
Notes apps, WhatsApp chats and photos are hard to search and not built to protect personal data.
Organised by category, searchable in plain words, and always ready when someone asks.
Aadhaar, PAN, passport, insurance and policy numbers, found in a second.
BP, sugar, allergies, medicines and doctor details, ready for any appointment.
Due dates on a clear timeline, with overdue items highlighted.
A profile for each family member, with their own documents, reminders and blood group.
Notes and photos of where each important document is kept.
Encrypted passwords, hidden by default, with one-tap copy and a strong password generator.
In the Windows app, notifications arrive in the background from the tray. In the browser, alerts appear while the Ninaivu tab is open.
Type "when is car insurance due?" and get the answer, not a list of files.
Download a dated, encrypted backup in one click, with a gentle reminder every 30 days.
Choose a master passphrase. Only you know it, and it never leaves your device.
Add IDs, policies, passwords, readings and bills for each family member, with optional due dates.
Ask "what's my policy number?" and see what is due soon on your dashboard.
Ninaivu is built so that nobody else, including us, can read what you store.
Everything is locked with AES-256-GCM encryption, using a key derived from your passphrase.
Your vault lives encrypted on your device. No Ninaivu servers, no ads, no tracking. Optional sync goes only to your own Google Drive app folder, already encrypted.
We never see your passphrase or your data, so nobody can read it except you.
Export an encrypted backup file and keep it wherever you choose.
Plain facts, no jargon. You can check the code yourself, because every file is readable.
Your vault is encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Your passphrase is stretched with PBKDF2 (310,000 rounds of SHA-256) before it is used, which makes guessing very slow.
When you create your vault, Ninaivu makes a random recovery key and gives you a printable Emergency Kit. If you forget your passphrase, the key unlocks your vault. Nobody else has a copy.
Ninaivu works without the internet and has no Ninaivu accounts, servers, analytics or tracking. It only goes online if you turn on optional sync (encrypted, to your own Google Drive app folder) or use optional Ask Gemini, which sends a document to Google Gemini only after you approve it.
The vault locks after 5 minutes without use, and in the Windows app when you minimise it or switch away for a minute. Sensitive numbers stay hidden until you tap to show them.
Ninaivu for Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit), with background reminders from the system tray. Installer size about 78 MB. Uninstalling keeps your vault, so a reinstall does not lose anything.

Vanakkam! I'm Raja. Like many of you, I've watched my family hunt for a policy number, an Aadhaar copy or a renewal date at exactly the wrong moment. I built Ninaivu so every family can keep their documents, policies, renewals, IDs and notes in one private place, synced between phone and laptop with no complicated setup. Your data stays yours, encrypted and never shared without your consent. And I wanted it priced so every family can afford it: ₹99 a year, or ₹299 once for life. Simple, honest and private. That's my promise to you.
“Being organised is a quiet way of saying ‘I love you.’ Keep today’s details safe, and tomorrow’s worries get smaller.”
No. Your data is encrypted on your device with your passphrase. We run no servers and never receive it. If you turn on sync, only encrypted data goes to your own Google Drive; Ask Gemini sends a document only when you approve it.
Use the recovery key from your printed Emergency Kit. It unlocks your vault, and then you choose a new passphrase. Without the passphrase or the recovery key, nobody can open the vault, including us.
Yes, if you wish. Passwords are encrypted with AES-256-GCM like everything else, hidden by default, and can be copied with one tap. The clipboard is cleared after 30 seconds. A strong password generator is built in.
No. Ninaivu works fully offline. The internet is used only if you choose optional Google Drive sync or Ask Gemini.
Ninaivu alerts you about anything overdue or due soon: 7 days before by default, or the number of days you choose for each item. In the Windows app, it runs quietly in the system tray and sends Windows notifications every 30 minutes, even when the window is closed. In the browser, alerts only appear while the Ninaivu tab is open.
Turn on Google Drive sync with the same Google account on the new device, or export an encrypted backup, copy the file across and import it with the same passphrase.
Join the waitlist and we will let you know when Family sync and phone reminders are ready.
This opens your email app with a short message to Ninaivu. Nothing is sent until you press Send.
